BLOOD SHORTAGE: The Red Cross national blood supply fell by about 25% in August as donor turnout dropped. Right now, blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing blood donations coming in. Join us to run for the 3rd annual Wonderful Water Run in Stevens Point, Wisconsin! Starting at Pfiffner Pioneer Park on the Wisconsin River. The race course is incredibly scenic meandering through Stevens Point city trails & roads, around the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and past Lake Joanis. Whether you are a seasoned runner or it is your first race, we know you will love this beautiful course!
Join Special Olympics Wisconsin for a hike at the Mead Wildlife Area!
The Hike the Mead Course is a 1.1 mile loop near the Visitor Center around Dragonfly Pond. The trail is gravel and dirt, with 0.25 miles of boardwalk.
All Special Olympic Athletes (and their partners) will receive an award certificate along with Mead merchandise, snacks, and beverages.

The River Run is your choice of a 5-Mile Course or a 2-Mile course:
The 5-MileCourse takes off and concludes at Central Waters Brewing Co. It is comprised of a winding course through the heart of our downtown as well as a limestone-chipped segment of the Tomorrow River Trail. You will run along the Tomorrow River before heading back toward the brewery. This is a timed event and the top three M/F in their age group (10 year increments) receive a winners mug!
The River Run 2-Mile Course: This takes off and concludes at Central Waters Brewing Co. It is comprised of a small tour through our downtown, while crossing over the Tomorrow River. The 2-Mile course is UNTIMED.
Kids Falcon Fun Run: This is held in conjunction with the annual River Run, to help fund the Jensen Community Center. The Falcon Fun Run is a 1/2 K race that starts and ends at Central Waters Brewing Co in Amherst. The race is open to kids ages 5-10 and a small fee to enter. All Falcon Fun Run participants will receive a special prize. Sign up now, as there are no registrations the day of the race.
Walk several trail loops lit by torches. Watch character programs presented by UW-Stevens Point students. Enjoy snacks, explore hands-on discovery stations, and make crafts to take home. Join us for a fun-filled evening for the entire family!
The event is free and open to the public, with suggested donations of $4 per person or $10 per family.
Spend Thanksgiving morning with family and friends at the Festival Foods Turkey Trot! Stevens Point is a new location of this great holiday tradition that offers a 5 mile timed run, 2 mile fun run, 2 mile walk and 2 mile dog jog. Trot will begin promptly at 8:00 AM at Stevens Point Area Senior High School.
Shirts and bibs can be picked up at the Stevens Point Area Senior High School between 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22 and beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Adapted Ice Skating! It is free, accessible, and inclusive, and all ages are encouraged to participate. MILC will provide assistive technology and assistance for anyone with a disability (and their families/caretakers) to ice skate. Keep an eye out for registration on MILC's Facebook and website.
